Koushambi-Manish Orkut Love
In 2007, Mumbai Police found dead body of Koushambi Layek at Mumbai’s Sun-a-Sheel hotel’s room number 202, later on Police found out that ,she was killed by Manish Thakur, a resident of Bashdroni in West Bengal; Koushambi Layek was a trainee at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS),she met Manish while traveling to Tata Consulting services.

Manish and Koushambi fell in love after scrapping on orkut ,but later Koushambi found out that her lover was actually a married man, so she asked Manish to end this relationship but Manish refused to do so and threatened Koushambi again and again and killed him by his service revolver.

iPhone Gay application
Mark G. Woodland, a 54 year old man was found dead at his apartment situated in 3800 block of East Greenway Road,Arizona USA,his body was found by his roommate; It is believed that he was killed by 19-year-old fellow he met using a social networking iPhone app often used by gay men to hook up.
The roommate told police that Woodland had sent him a text message at 5 p.m. saying he was going to pick up a male date. He sent a second text at about 6 p.m. to make sure the roommate had left the apartment.

Adnan Patrawala Orkut Controversy
In 2007, Adnan Patrawala, a 16 years old boy , who was missing for 2 days as reported by his parents was found dead inside his own vehicle in the upmarket Palm Beach road near Panvel, Mumbai; Adnan Patrawala ; Parents of Adnan Patrawala say that they received a ransom call of 2 crore after kidnapping of his son.

According to reports,it is suspected that he was kidnapped by anonymous chatter Angel,who met Adnan on Social Networking Website Orkut and after checking scraps , it was found that Angel asked Adnan meet her at Inorbit Mall in Malad; Raj, Lala and Himanshu , who were friends of Adnan ,are three prime suspects in this case.

Saudi Arabia Facebook-Controversy
Country was Saudi Arabia and the year was 2008, A woman was beaten up and shot dead by her father for talking online with a man she met on the website Facebook. The case was reported on a Saudi Arabian news site as an example of the “strife” the social networking site is causing in the Islamic nation.

It is reported that man shot his daughter, after discovering that she had been chatting online to a young man she had met on Facebook.

27 years old Josie Phyllis Brown was killed by 22 years old John Christopher Gaumer,while both were having date on Dec. 28, 2005,John Christopehr confessed his crime after investigation by Baltimore County police.

According to investigations, John Christopher killed her,after argument between both got worse.
